Critica is a scientific community led by Drs. Sara and Jack Gorman, two widely respected public health and psychology professionals. Sara and Jack recently published a widely-praised book, Denying to the Grave: Why We Ignore The Facts That Will Save Us, and set out to create an online learning and activism community grounded in themes from the book. Critica provides valuable commentary and insight to the psychology behind our decisions related to our health and security, and how we can think more rationally and scientifically about these important issues.
Rule29 has been part of the Critica story from the very beginning by developing the name, tagline, logo, website, and social media presence for this rapidly-growing community. The name, Critica, draws from the Latin variation of critical, referencing the critical thinking the organization wishes to cultivate amongst audiences. The tagline, “Think Deeply, Think Well” is an aspirational invitation to utilize thinking and reason to bring about positive change in our health and outlook on the world.
We wish Critica the best as they continue to grow and evolve. If you are interested in being part of this insightful conversation, head to their website and sign up for the newsletter.
