Edwin is impervious to cold.

Edwin hails from the great north—home of the Yooper—where you easily could be the only human for miles. He’s lived on both coasts, attending graduate school in San Francisco and interning at MoMA in New York. As hard as he tried, he couldn’t bring himself to stay away from the Midwest for too long.

In his free time you’ll find him outside, hangin’ with his dog, or watching Cartoon Network while he’s working on projects at home -Adventure Time & Regular Show, you can’t go wrong with those choices. He likes anything artsy fartsy & can’t wait to become a regular at Chicago’s great museums. Music is another passion of his—listening, not playing, though he played all through school & wishes he’d pick it up again sometime in the near future. If you ever needed some suggested listening, he’ll quickly direct you to Alexandre Desplat or Armand Amar.

Type is one of his favorite attributes of design to work with. Not just the big, bold, beautiful type and lettering, but the typesetting of smaller text—the columns, paragraphs, & captions. Well-set type is beautiful especially in print where you can smell the ink & feel the paper. He’s excited to be a part of the Rule29 team & creating work that matters and has a positive impact on others.
