Bob believes his life is (actually) a music video...

Bob’s prior experience in production and storytelling has proved crucial for most R29 projects. As one of our producers, Bob helps our clients not only understand their story, but the appropriate means of communicating it. This not only requires diverse knowledge in numerous (creative) matters, but an appropriate understanding of customer engagement and the way people think - all of which Bob is happy to obsess over.

Before working at Rule29, Bob co-founded both a local and virtual artist community called Project rednoW (which he still oversees in his spare time) - an experimental community committed to archiving, exploring, and experiencing the "art of wonder" via music, film, philosophy, design, and storytelling.  Consequently, Bob provides various writings for R29 and oversees all of our digital film production.

Bob's obsession with all things "wonder-FULL" goes beyond the studio... he watches 100+ films every year, frequents the concert circuit, wishes he was Ira Glass (NPR's "This American Life"), and believes everyone should drive a little orange scooter (like his). Above all, Bob finds both life’s beauty and joy in his wife and three kids.

Super Bowl 2012: Does Sex (Still) Sell?

Let’s be honest. This year’s Super Bowl ads fell short of expectations for most. Sure, there were a few laughs. An arguably meaningful moment. But, for the most part, companies (and their agencies) seemed to miss the mark. Or, did they? Super Bowl ads are a different ball game. There are different expectations. Different rules. [...]

Sundance 2012: Ideas vs Entertainment

Why do we go to the movies? This is a question I have been pondering over the last week as both myself and Justin settle back from what has now become an annual trip to the Sundance Film Festival – seeing 18 films in 4 days. I know. It sounds exhausting. It is. To sit and [...]
