Elevating an industry leader

It’s not every day we get to work with a client that has virtually created a global industry. While clearly an established industry leader, Vanguard lacked a visual identity that adequately communicated their dominance and expertise. The identity system Rule29 created features a bold red color palette and inspirational industry imagery that creates a minimal yet strong and cohesive system.

Creating a Responsible Annual Report

Rule29 created the 2017 Corporate Responsibility Report for Gran Tierra Energy, Inc. Together with its subsidiaries, Gran Tierra focuses on oil and gas exploration and production in Colombia. This annual report focused on economy, environment, and community to share Gran Tierra’s corporate success with their stakeholders.

A Full Color Environment

We used full-color, full-bleed images of the Columbian landscape to show the beauty of the environment from an aerial perspective. Throughout the report, we highlighted key information and statistics through infographics and typographic hierarchy. This combination proved Gran Tierra’s transparent, safe, and responsible portfolio to be one of the best in the world.

Lifewater International is a nonprofit water development organization dedicated to effectively and sustainably serve the world’s rural poor through integrated water, sanitation, and hygiene programs. The organization, which has been around for over 35 years, came to Rule29 for a refresh of their brand, hoping to appeal to new generations and distinguish themselves as a thought and practice leader in this nonprofit space.

Mellody Farm was built on a historic dairy farm and envisioned to be a truly immersive and unique shopping destination. Reclaimed wood, brick, and steel were utilized to create an industrial aesthetic that recalled the property’s previous use. From this, we created a brand that found its inspiration in farmland and the lines created in these fields.

When Sears was developing their latest concept store, mygofer™, they called on Rule29 to create the brand’s trademark and launch materials. Emphasizing the convenience and completeness of the services offered, the trademark is dynamic and bold, utilizing color contrast to call attention to the different elements present in the mark.
