Lifewater International Identity

Lifewater International is a non-profit, Christian water development organization dedicated to effectively and sustainably serving the world’s rural poor through integrated water, sanitation, and hygiene programs. The organization, which has been around for over 35 years, came to Rule29 for a refresh of their brand, hoping to appeal to new generations and distinguish themselves even more in the non-profit sphere. With that in mind, Rule29 set out to develop a contemporary look that would demonstrate the professionalism and integrity of Lifewater, while also engaging interested audiences with powerful imagery and sleek design.

Part of the rebrand was to address their website, having it more functionally and visually convey their mission to make access to clean water, sanitation, and hygiene a reality around the world. Rule29 created a fresh-looking design for the site that showcases beautiful photography and contemporary infographics. Additionally, an interactive map was developed to display current and past projects to help engage viewers more intentionally in the work that Lifewater is involved in.

They also approached Rule29 to help them create an annual report that would highlight their successes over the last year, specifically their work in Ethiopia and Uganda, and their commitment to transparency. We created a print and online version, with the online version designed as a continuous scrolling site, with the option to donate prominently displayed at the top.
