Giving of oneself or one’s possessions is an innate part of humanity. We GIVE to share. We GIVE to love. We GIVE to make the world a better place. This is our GIVE initiative.
We all need a reminder—and at Rule29, that reminder is our GIVE initiative. We are committed to GIVE 20% of our time and resources (free or at a discount) to causes, ideas, and initiatives that strive to create a healthier, more equitable, more sustainable, and more welcoming world. We don’t just support these organizations—we embrace them.
Over the next several years we plan to bring more diversity into Rule29, our board, and whenever possible, the clients we work with. We will promote diverse speakers and authors as options for our writing and speaking engagements as well. We will continue to align ourselves with marginalized communities and support them with investment, participation, service, and networking.
Within our networks, including on our podcast Design Of, we will continue to share and promote diverse makers, leaders, and initiatives in our world to increase awareness.
We want you to be you. Our commitment to inclusion across race, gender, age, religion, identity, and experience means that when you work with Rule29, you bring your authentic self to make creative matter every day.
We admit it—our efforts to give aren’t perfect. Many others are doing more than our small group could possibly do on its own. In fact, the more we pursue, the more we realize that giving doesn’t happen in isolation, but rather in collaboration. One of the main reasons we are a Certified B Corporation® is to be part of a community using business as a force for good and to be held accountable for all we stated above as well as for our activities around governance, sustainability, community, and environment.
The invasion of Ukraine has been devastating as families are separated, evacuated, and forced to fight for their lives. That is why we created the ukraine.mattersto.us site where individuals can purchase a poster and 100% of proceeds go to organizations making a direct impact to support Ukrainians who need it most. The site also includes resources and other ways to stand up for Ukraine.View Website
