Rule29 has recently partnered with the Farnsworth House’s newly formed Stewardship Council. The Farnsworth House is considered one of the icons of modern architecture which was designed by the legendary Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and commissioned by the equally interesting and often underappreciated Edith Farnsworth.
The Farnsworth House is a National Historic Landmark in Plano, Illinois and our very own Creative Director, Justin Ahrens, will be our representative on the Stewardship Council. This group consists of individuals from different professions who have a goal to preserve this modern masterpiece for generations to come, including Ludwig Mies van der Rohe’s grandson Dirk Lohan who is an amazing Chicago architect himself. We look forward to sharing more about the Farnsworth House but for now check out their many exhibits and tours. We recently attended Geometry of Light, which was an one of a kind immersive experience, and are looking forward to spending more time there.
