Andy Sauder
Creative Director
Andy is as passionate about art as he is about cycling and he began doing both at an early age.
When not trying to master the slick freestyle biking moves he admired in the 80’s movie Rad, Andy spent his junior high and high school years filling notebook after notebook with sketches of anything and everything. That early love for creativity turned into a lifelong passion for design. After high school, Andy spent a transformative summer in Uganda through the Teen Missions organization, instilling in him a deep desire to make a difference in the world.
Andy’s journey brought him from a small farm town in central Illinois to the Chicago area, where he attended Judson College. Since then, he’s dedicated over 20 years to designing and art directing across a wide range of industries. His extensive experience includes working on brand identities, as well as creating impactful web and print experiences that connect with audiences and achieve client goals. Andy’s ability to blend creativity with strategy makes him a trusted partner for clients and a driving force behind Rule29’s mission to make creative matter.
That passion to make a difference eventually led Andy to Rule29, where he continues to explore ways to use his talents to create meaningful and lasting impact. When he’s not at work, you can find him enjoying the Fox River Trail, either biking or walking with his wife and their two dogs, embracing the outdoors and recharging his creative energy.
